Mike composed "Tubular Bells" when he was only 18, and then followed it up with not only another 4 great prog albums, but some well-remembered 80s pop-rock classics. Yet no one ever seems to recognise his genius...|||No!! I was going to dominate this question.

Rush





They are one of the most influential bands of all time. They have done progressive rock, pop rock, and just pure classic rock. They are, in my opinion, the most talented power trio ever in rock music. I could go on forever about how awesome they are!





On the Colbert Report, he made a joke about that. He said something like:


You guys have yet to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Are you going to call your next album "That's Bullsh*t"?|||Stevie Ray Vaughan|||I'm afraid you stole my thunder but gotta go with Rush, not even close.





I may not be their biggest fan but it seems that their place in music is every bit as important if not more than any of the same group of bands you hear about repeatedly. Of course we all know what a fraud the RARHOF is so perhaps Rush doesn't really care that much.

I think Boston deserves to be in. They didn't have a long tenure, but what they released was fantastic and one of a kind.|||Iggy Pop And The Stooges. They should have been in there years ago but even Metallica have got in there before them, unbelievable.
