Is the Rock and Roll hall of fame relevant any more?

I'm in a Rock Hall mood this week and note that from some questions I've asked previously, that many think that the Hall is a joke?



Is it still relevant? Should it be renamed the Music Hall of Fame?



I've visited the Hall in Cleveland many times and find the experience to be gratifying - I just am unsure whether the inductions are relevant any more?

I'm not sure if it was ever actually relevant. Rush, KISS, Alice Cooper have still not been inducted. Ronnie James Dio was not included w/ Black Sabbath.

It's still pretty relevant, but there's a crap-load of Beatles stuff. They should rename it the Beatles Museum.

It's because this year they have inducted Madonna. Seriously, she's not even rock. More like pop. Dammit she shouldn't be in there!
Never was relevant. See the letter the Sex Pistols wrote when they were gonna be inducted, that pretty much sums up how relevant the R%26amp;R HOF is.

r%26amp;r as a genre is dead.

harder sounding pop acts are considered to be rock and roll, it has become such a generic and mainstream title. all of the good r%26amp;r bands should ditch the title and cut their losses.


I don't want to acknowledge a Rock %26amp; Roll hall of fame without CHEAP TRICK.

i gess it is and its no tin some ways. like, some of the bands are way undeserving when they get into it. but some are really good and they dont get in. it just depends on how u look at it. i think its not as serious as it was like, a couple years ago. but its no quite a complete joke [yet]
